Works in Progress provides filmmakers that are currently working on film projects, a unique chance to present their latest works to local and international press and film professionals. During Works in Progress, the audience gets a glimpse of the projects that Icelandic filmmakers are currently working on.

5-15 minute previews will be screened in front of an audience, following a Q&A with the directors and producers of the film in question, which cannot have been officially released prior to Stockfish Film Festival (February 18th 2016). The director and/producer should be Icelandic but an exception can be made if the film is connected to Iceland in another way (e.g. Iceland, Icelanders or Icelandic culture is one of the key subjects of the film). Feature films, documentaries and TV programs are suitable projects. A special committee will view and choose the projects that will be discussed and screened at Stockfish 2016.

To participate in the project the following info needs to be submitted:

  • Subject of e-mail: Application of [name of film] for Works in Progress
  • A short synopsis.
  • 5-15 minute preview. (We recommend using Vimeo).
  • Names and titles of representatives of the film during the Q&A session.

Please, send any questions and submissions to: shorts@stockfishfestival.is

Deadline: January 15th 2016
