Luciano will host a Masterclass about documentary cinema as an act of creation as well as some unclassifiable films. That is films that don’t obey to the law of the market and will always have an audience regardless. They are important, because they show us a possible way to film THE INVISIBLE.
Luciano Barisone is a journalist, film critic and film-club host. He founded his own magazine, titled “Panoramique,” and his own film festival titled Alba infinity festival. He has also worked as a festival programmer and press conference moderator at numerous international film festivals including Venice IFF and later as festival director, most recently at Visions du Réel in Nyon.
Visions du Réel is a documentary film festival that urges its applicants to “…provide personal expressions of realities, freely interpreting the very definition of documentary filmmaking and its implementation.” Through his extensive experience as a film critic and curator, Luciano has gained a deep and unique understanding of the world of documentary and genre bending film. We are very lucky to have Luciano join us at this year’s Stockfish Film Festival to share with us his knowlegde. An event for filmmakers and film enthusiasts alike.
Please note that the masterclass will take up to three hours in total.
