Matteo Garrone, known for Tale of Tales (2015) and Gomorrah (2008), released a unique crime thriller last year. Marcello, a gentle dog-groomer find himself in a dangerous situation with the violent Simone, a former boxer, who terrorizes the entire neighborhood. In an effort to reaffirm his dignity, Marcello commits an unexpected act of vengeance. The film was nominated for the BAFTA awards and Marcello Fonte, who plays the leading role, won best actor at Cannes.
