The quiet atmosphere at a small beach resort is rattled by the suspicion of an unheard-of shark invasion, which alarms the locals. 14-year-old Rosina has no friends, and her exchanges with the world only consist of the occasional short phrase. She thinks she saw something in the water, but no one seems to be paying much attention to her.
Rosina experiences something new: a desire to bridge the distance between her body and Joselo’s. But the feeling is hardly mutual. To get his attention, she comes up with poorly planned strategy, inspired by the mysterious predators.
With 10 nominations and 8 awards, The Sharks has won almost every film prize it has been nominated for! Including the Buenos Aires FEISAL Award and the Special Jury award at Sundance World Cinema Directing.
