at SFIF program, \u201cTove&#8217;s Room (Toves v\u00e6relse)\u201d by Martin Zandvliet, \u201cKalak\u201d by Isabella Eklof and \u201cEternal\u201d by Ulaa Salim.\u00a0<\/p><p>SFIF is hosting the national premiere and proposed \u201cEternal\u201d as our Opening Film.<br \/>The filmmakers representing the films in the program will partake and engage in the SFIF Open Talks; a slate of industry talks in conjunction with the industry program, held after film screenings.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2ec7ed5 Sans-serif;\"><b>Crafting a Compelling Dox<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Every year Stockfish offers a selection of events, seminars, workshops and masterclasses led by industry experts. Among them this year is a masterclass about developing a documentary film through a life scenario, led by Danish documentary filmmaker and journalist Helle Hansen. With the use of a case study, a Nordic-backed film project, this masterclass provides an analysis where the challenges of navigating diverse perspectives among decision-makers are depicted, highlighting the filmmakers&#8217; struggle to balance the satisfaction of all stakeholders while staying true to the original story.<br>\nThe narrative delves into the complexities of understanding that initial decisions may not always align with the film&#8217;s ultimate best interest.<br>\nAdditionally, the discussion encompasses the role of film institutes in supporting the filmmaking process and explores how film commissioners can better assist filmmakers.<br>\nAudience participation is actively encouraged in this discourse.<br>\nAfter directing numerous Documentaries for TV, supported by TV and\/ or the Danish Film Institute (DFI), Helle became a film commissioner for documentaries for four years at DFI  and five years in Norway at NFI. She is currently freelancing for a Film Foundation in Northern Norway (FFN).
