In a luxury flat in central Copenhagen we meet one of the period’s biggest female writers, Tove Ditlevsen, and her husband, sadistic editor in chief, Victor Andreasen. Through her writing, Tove gives oppressed women a voice but in her four marriages she has let herself be submissive to men’s position of power. In Andreasen she has perhaps found the biggest tyrant of them all. Coming for lunch this day is the promising young author Klaus Rifbjerg, who celebrates the modern woman. Klaus expects an afternoon of literature, what he doesn’t know is that a bloodbath awaits him.
The film won the Best Actress Awards at the Danish Film Awards 2024.
