Submissions are now open for Shortfish

The Stockfish Film & Industry Festival has opened submissions for Shortfish, the festival’s short film competition. Shortfish serves as a platform for emerging filmmakers, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their work to both local and international audiences. Awards are given in four categories: narrative short films, documentary short films, music videos, and experimental short films. The winning films will be screened on RÚV, and the winners will also receive cash prizes and access to equipment from KUKL Rental.

The submission deadline for films is February 25, and applications are submitted via FilmFreeway.com/Shortfish.

Stockfish will take place from April 3–13, 2025, at Bíó Paradís, featuring a diverse program of film screenings, events, and industry days, which will be held both at Bíó Paradís and various locations throughout the city.
