NORTH ATLANTIC STORY CIRCLE
North Atlantic Story Circle is a new initiative coming out of Greenland, set up to create a dedicated space for filmmakers from the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland, and set to add more voices in future editions.
The Circle wishes to build an expanding network of creators, who will exchange visions to shape a future North Atlantic film- and story landscape. The aim is to facilitate a strong North Atlantic narrative and to nurture competitive, sustainable and resilient film communities – on their own terms.
In partnership with Stockfish Film & Industry Festival and with Funding from Nordic Culture Point, the Nordic Institute in Greenland and Nordisk Film & TV Fond, several activities will take place online and on site in Reykjavik during the Stockfish Industry Days.
Participants in 2026 are Alberte Parnuuna and Aka Niviâna Mørch Pedersen from Greenland, Ísold Uggadóttir and Beta Guarino from Iceland, and Rakul Ró Steintórsdóttir and Niels Jóhan Sigurðsson from the Faroe Islands.
North Atlantic Story Circle is organised by Klaus Georg Hansen from KGH Productions; facilitated by project partners Valeria Richter and Helene Granqvist from Nordic Factory, with main partners Stockfish Film & Industry Festival and the Faroese Film Institute.
