This map is based on the book ICELAND ON FILM by Wendy Mitchell. Although the book discusses places all over the country this map focuses mainly on Reykjavík and the capital area. Here you can see, and read anecdotes, about the places many famous Icelandic and foreign films have used as a backdrop or statement pieces. Enjoy the rich history of Icelandic film making.
