OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS – SHORTFISH 2024
Submissions WILL OPEN 2ND DECEMBER!
The Short Film Competition will be held during the 10th Stockfish Film & Industry Festival 4th-14th April at Bíó Paradís.
The submission deadline is February 15th.
Four categories are registered and awarded
BEST SHORT NARRATIVE
BEST SHORT DOCUMENTARY
BEST SHORT EXPERIMENTAL
BEST MUSIC VIDEO
The goal of the competition is to draw attention to aspiring and versatile filmmakers
and encourage further attention with prizes that lay the foundation for the next project.
Prices are supported by KUKL Rental and the Icelandic broadcaster RÚV.
Winners will be included in RÚV, VOD roaster in 2024.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
The films can be a maximum of 30 minutes in length and should not have been produced before 2023.
The Icelandic premiere is required to be at Stockfish Festival 2024.
Films will only be considered if the author, director, and/or main producer is Icelandic.
Icelandic music videos are only considered If the director is Icelandic and the music needs to be made into an original song.
Submissions are free of charge and executed through FilmFreeway.
20 short films will be shown during the festival, and 5 projects will be selected to compete in each category.
